RITA’S STATS WEEKS 15TH, 16TH AND 17TH

Good morning

I spent the past few days pondering all the ebay changes that have been coming our way and as usual, just in time for the holiday selling season, everyone wants to make sure they get their piece of the pie, just wish they would leave some for me! I was angry at first, went in and deleted my “about me” page and thought “enough is enough”! I spent a lot of time on line trying to find another selling venue that might suit my needs, but nothing really reached out and grabbed me.

WEEK 14 STATS

Hi Everyone!

Where on earth does the time go? I can’t believe it’s August already and summer is coming to an end. This challange has really taught me some valuable lessons about trying to get a business started and how life can and does affect it.  I won’t make my challange goal at this point, but with the lessons learned, I’m hoping to do better with the way I buy and managing my time. My DSR’s have come up, as has my feedback percentage which I have always worked hard at since starting on ebay years ago. I have numerious physical disabilites which also have affected how often I can get out and about. I have days that I can barely do anything and that was another reason I wanted to try this challange, too push myself and not let them take over my life. We planted a garden this year and with my hubby’s and daughter in laws help, we have managed to can several quarts of veggies and we will have enough that we won’t have to buy this winter.

I finally did it, Woohoo!! LOL  Granted it’s a small one, but it feels good to be out of the hole. The past few weeks have been so very hectic with little time for the challange or even e-bay for that matter. I figued that once hubby’s vacation and grand kids visits were over I’d have more time. Wrong! The garden is coming in  and I’ve started canning. I have not been buying anything new for the challange lately as I’m listing from items already bought for the challange in previous weeks.  This update on the challange totals are from July 9th - July 28th. I’m going to make more of an effort to post stats every week like I used to.

CATCHING UP!

Hello everyone

I hope all of you had a wonderful 4th of July holiday! Hubby is on vacation and Whew, have we been busy here! I’ve only been to a couple of sales since we have had family and grand kids in and out for the past several days. Grandpa took our 3 grandsons that are staying for the week fishing and I’m trying to catch up with the challange posting and getting my sales tax ready to file.

 Good morning everyone

Hope all is well in your little corner of the world. My little corner is sunny at the moment, but a tad bit cool with thunder storms on the agenda for the 3rd straight day. I really dislike storms, especially here in Ohio as we are prone to tornadoes.

I’m going to treat myself to breakfast this fine morning and go to Goodwill, no garage sales today in our area. I decided not to go to the vintage glassware auction this past Saturday, but am thinking of going to a local estate auction this coming Saturday morning as it’s about 6 miles from me with my favorite auctioneer. Lots of box lots!

I will post my weekly update a little later. How are all of you doing with finding good stuff to sale? I see an awful lot of clothes in my area, guess thats why I like the estate auctions better for getting the kind of items I sell. One piece of advice, don’t get too caught up in the excitement and pay too much like I do sometimes. LOL

WEEK 6 STATS

Hey everyone:)

I didn’t get listing done until later in the week, so have nothing to report for week 5. I’m going to try and go to a huge vintage glassware auction this Saturday, just can’t resist that one, but where I’m going to put anything else is beyond me. LOL We are going to be busy the first 2 weeks of July with hubby starting my ebay room downstairs the first week and then we’re going to PA to see our kids and bring back 2, maybe 3 of our grandsons to spend a week fishing and camping with granpa.

WEEK 5 STATS

My sales were low again. I’m behind on everything right now, from listing to posting to house cleaning. I didn’t go to any sales last weekend, just using out of the boxes and boxes of items I bought at auction and previous sales as I’m running out of room to put stuff. It seems as if we’re having a steady flow of company and that’s also making it hard to get anything done. I’m not going to try and put in the tables, just list my figures for now. Still in the hole, gotta get my nose to the grind stone! LOL

RITA’S WEEK 4 STATS

I’m beginning to think I’ll never get out of the hole. LOL Sales were few this past weekend, think it may because of all the local graduations. I’m not going to buy as much inventory for awhile since I have so much from previous weeks and hopefully start making a dent in my challange goal. At the 2 places I was at over the weekend, I bought glassware and books. I was totally suprised that my 75 cent erotica poetry book sold for 26.00 to a guy in the UK last night!

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend. Between company and out door yard work, I didn’t get as much listed as I wanted, but hopefully I can make it up during the week. I’m not using the chart this time since I can’t figure out how to make it fit in the space.

This is certainly a learning experience and I’m glad I decided to participate this year, really opens your eyes to what it can actually entail to run a small business, costs to operate, paper work, ect.

Thanks to Gary and all of you, I’m buying items I wouldn’t normally look at, will have to see how that works out for me.
