I have 0 in cost ,because I paid for the items in the past weeks
Yesterday, I bought $36.50 of costume jewelry & gorgeous enamel coffee pot.
I also went to this strange Mission church bazaar, reminded me of the moonies.
Anyway, I bought Some Rich Dad cd’s & Books ( Thank you , Gary) for $8.00 .

The auctions for the remainder of the items items purchased during the fifth week of the 2008 Garage Sale Challenged ended on Sunday evening.
I had just nine qualifying auctions running this last week. These were items I’d purchased before leaving for Canada but hadn’t had time to list before I left. Of the nine items, eight sold for a total of $215.92. The sell-through rate was 89%. Amazon accounted for another $241.08 in sales during the last week.
The highlight of the week was the Getzen trumpet that I paid $10 for that sold for $102.50.
Here’s how things look after last Sunday’s auctions ended:

Tagged: The 2008 Garage Sale Challenge. Selling On eBay, What To Sell On eBay

Good morning everyone
Hope all is well in your little corner of the world. My little corner is sunny at the moment, but a tad bit cool with thunder storms on the agenda for the 3rd straight day. I really dislike storms, especially here in Ohio as we are prone to tornadoes.
I’m going to treat myself to breakfast this fine morning and go to Goodwill, no garage sales today in our area. I decided not to go to the vintage glassware auction this past Saturday, but am thinking of going to a local estate auction this coming Saturday morning as it’s about 6 miles from me with my favorite auctioneer. Lots of box lots!
I will post my weekly update a little later. How are all of you doing with finding good stuff to sale? I see an awful lot of clothes in my area, guess thats why I like the estate auctions better for getting the kind of items I sell. One piece of advice, don’t get too caught up in the excitement and pay too much like I do sometimes. LOL
Have a wonderful day!

BanksAuctions - Weekly Auctions Recap - Week 5 & 6
These last three weeks (and looking like the whole month), real life has gotten in the way of the eBay challenge, eBay and most everything else. I’ve been dealing with some family issues, which have me flying back and forth between California and New York.
Hopefully things will settle down so I can start earning some $$$ and stop using up my “emergency stash”, oh well that’s what it’s for right?!?
I’ve mostly been doing relisting and listings of items purchased earlier during the challenge but yet unsold.
I’ve been able to do some treasure hunting nonetheless, and will do a separate update covering my most recent finds.

The auctions for items purchased during the fifth week of the 2008 Garage Sale Challenged ended on Sunday evening after I returned from Canada.
I had a total of thirty-three qualifying auctions running while I was gone. Of the thirty-three, twenty two sold for a total of $518.38. The sell-through rate was 67%. Not the greatest, but still well above eBay’s average. My Amazon store was placed on “Vacation” status while I was gone, but before leaving, Amazon did account for an additional $57.34 in sales.
The highlights of the week were two Creative Memories sticker binders with protectors I paid $5 each for. They sold for $76.25 and $73.00 respectively.
Here’s how things look after the seventh week of the Challenge:

Hey everyone:)
I didn’t get listing done until later in the week, so have nothing to report for week 5. I’m going to try and go to a huge vintage glassware auction this Saturday, just can’t resist that one, but where I’m going to put anything else is beyond me. LOL We are going to be busy the first 2 weeks of July with hubby starting my ebay room downstairs the first week and then we’re going to PA to see our kids and bring back 2, maybe 3 of our grandsons to spend a week fishing and camping with granpa.
Hey Gary,
How was the fishing trip?

Okay, I must confess, life and my other job have taken over (excuses, excuses), and I am really behind on my paperwork, so I don’t have a chart to post yet.
On to the highlights: I have actually had several challenge sales this past month, and sold them from my ebay store as well as auction. I thought I’d list some of the highlights…. (more…)

Sales slowed down quite a bit here this week for some reason. All of our Challenge sales were on Amazon. We’ve been busy with consignment sales on eBay so we aren’t just sitting around twiddling our thumbs, but we need some time to get Challenge items up on eBay. The one big highlight of the week was selling a “Training Manual: How to Train the Trainer” on Amazon for $99.50 (paid $1.00). We could use a few more of those. :-) We also did well with a “Medical Parasitology” book which sold for $32.99 (paid $.50).
We visited about 25 rummage sales this weekend which was just a fraction of what we could have done with more time. We really only hit the sales in our part of the city.
